Princess Catherine calls Prince Louis by his nickname

Princess Catherine has an adorable nickname for her youngest son, Prince Louis.

The Princess of  Wales called the 5-year-old royal Lou Bug during his first-ever royal engagement on Monday where he roasted marshmallows.

Catherine who attended the engagement with all her three kids, George, 9, Charlotte, 8, and Louis stood around a campfire at 3rd Upton Scouts Hut in Slough.

She told her youngest son, “Pop [those skewers] in the fire, Lou Bug,”

The 41-year-old princess also made her son say thank you when a volunteer handed s’mores.

Catherine also has special nicknames for her husband Prince William, 40, and her other two children.

The future queen called her daughter Lottie during a trip to Northern Ireland in March 2019. Just two months later William was heard calling his little one Mignonette which in French means dainty or cute.

Last year,  the future queen called the third in line to the throne Popper during a Christmas shopping in a discount store.

George, for his part, is reportedly called PG at school which is not yet confirmed by his parents.

In 2018, the Prince of  Wales revealed that his firstborn calls him Pops.

During King Charles III‘s coronation concert on Sunday, as William took on the stage, Charlotte pointed at him and called him Papa.

Catherine’s three kids stole the show at the coronation

While Charlotte and her two brothers rarely speak on cameras in public, they once made headlines for asking David Attenborough interesting questions about animals in a 2020 documentary.

We got to see more of the royal trio during their appearance at the coronation, from little Louis yawning throughout the main event to Charlotte and George dancing to Katy Perry and Lionel Richie‘s songs.

While the youngest princess took charge of her younger brother at Westminster Abbey and held his hand, George played a major role in his granddad’s ceremony as one of the monarch’s Pages of Honor.

Fans thought Louis’s yawning was super cute as it instantly became meme material. One fan commented,

“Louis stealing the show with his yawning ..I love that kid!” 

Another fan added,

Princess Charlotte’s role as an elder sister to Louis also melted people’s hearts and praised her for being so responsible at such a young age.
