Rebecca Romijn and her first marriage

American actress, Rebecca Romijn had just started a career in modeling when in 1994, at the Victoria’s Secret show, she met American actor, John Stamos. He was smitten by her beauty. The two started dating.

There was a ten years age gap between the two lovebirds. But that did not deter them from continuing with their relationship. John had already dated Hollywood beauties such as Demi Moore and Paula Abdul. But to marry he chose Rebecca.

The two had an engagement in December 1997 on Christmas Eve and wed on 19 September 1998 at Beverly Hills Hotel. In 1999, John said in an interview:

“Since I’ve been with her, she’s skyrocketed. I think I get more excited about it sometimes than she does,”

In an interview to Moviehole in 2002, Rebecca had said:

“John’s VERY conservative,”
“And honestly, I’m better with the rumors [about our relationship] than he is. He gets really upset about all of this, because he’s conservative and [we’re] really Dharma and Greg; he balances me out and really has to pull me back in.”

However, the couple’s marriage did not last. They filed for divorce and the court granted it in 2005. There were rumors that John and Rebecca parted ways because John wanted children whereas Rebecca did not want them. In 2006, John said:

“We were together for 10 years. … In my book at this point I would still be married and have three kids. … We just both woke up one day and it had run its course.”

However, Rebecca denied this was the reason for their separation. She told People:

“There is absolutely no truth to that,”
“That [story] was completely made up. I desperately wanted kids.”

Later, Rebecca began a relationship with American actor Jerry O’Connell. Jerry proposed to her in September 2005 and she said yes.

On 14 July 2007, they exchanged wedding vows at their home in Calabasas, California. In 2008, Rebecca delivered their twin daughters.

They are Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose. The couple often post photos of them on their social media.

John Stamos and his dating and second marriage

After he divorced Rebecca, an agent tried to set up John with young star, Kristen Bell. The former introduced John to Kristen.

But John turned down the match since he thought that Kristen was very young. She was 17 years younger to him. On the Armchair expert podcast, John said:

“I just was so lofty and thought, ‘I’m old,'”
“I said, ‘She’s so adorable, she’s so great. I’m way the f**** too old.'”

But after a decade, on meeting model Caitlin McHugh, John thought that age does not matter. In fact, Caitlin was 23 years younger to John.

Yet John started dating her. And in February 2018, the couple wed. They now share a son together whose name is Billy. Billy was born in April 2018.

In an interview that John gave to People, he said that Caitlin and he have same family values and morals. He disclosed that Caitlin wanted to start a family early. When John queried her haste, she had said:

“Because you’re old.”
