In the October 29, 2019 episode of NWA Power, Starks made an appearance and vanquished Aron Stevens. Starks faced Aron Stevens and the victor Colt Cabana in a three-way match for the NWA National Championship on December 14 at NWA Into The Fire. On the June 17, 2020, episode of AEW Dynamite, Starks made his debut by losing to Cody Rhodes in a title match for the AEW TNT Championship.
