Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen attended a party at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
This is the couple’s first public outing since welcoming their daughter Gia Virginia Chen De Niro.
The baby girl is Robert’s seventh child.

Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen enjoy a date night at Cannes

Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen finally made their public appearance together after welcoming their daughter Gia Virginia Chen De Niro.

The 79-year-old actor and his martial arts instructor Beau enjoyed a night out at the Vanity Fair x Prada at this year’s Cannes at Hodel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France on Saturday night.

The new parents twinned in dark ensembles for the outing. The actor wore a classic black suit while his other half opted for an all-black look featuring a zipper jacket and black shirt underneath.

Robert is in Cannes for the premiere of his latest movie, Killers of the Flower Moon which received a nine-minute standing ovation at the annual French festival.

Before the intimate dinner, Robert posed with his co-stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese earlier in the day.

De Niro was the first to announce the arrival of his seventh child earlier this month. During an interview with ET Canada, the interviewer casually asked him about his six children to which he quickly replied “Seven, actually.”

Soon, he also spoke to Gayle King about his newest on CBS Morning telling her that the family is over the moon about the new baby.

King, 68, later said,

”I [asked him], ‘Did you want a baby?’ He goes, ‘Yes. This baby is planned,’”
“They both wanted this baby, they’re over the moon. She was brought here by love, so he is very psyched and very excited about it.”

De Niro’s six children from his previous relationships

The actor has six children from his previous relationships and marriages. He and his first wife share a daughter Drena, 51, and a son Raphael, 46.

Next, he welcomed twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith in 1995. He also shares son Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen, 11, with Grace Hightower.

The Academy Award winner was then linked to now-girlfriend in August 2021 after splitting with Hightower in 2018.

The two actually first met in 2015 while she served as a martial arts instructor and had a role in the movie The Intern starring Robert.

In a 2019 interview, De Niro gushed about how much he loved being a dad to all his kids. He said at the time,

“I love my children, just being with them,”
”It’s not easy. Sometimes it’s fun and you love your kids, and sometimes you want to kill them! … When you have the good moments, you forget about the ones that weren’t good.”
