There was a mass shooting in a South Florida high school. Don Lemon, the CNN host reported that America was not on the list of such mass shootings or violence as compared to European countries.

Some people did not want to comment on the mass shootings in America.

Don has something to tell them,

“Shut up.”

Adding,

“You can save it. People who are saying, ‘Oh, y’know, it’s not the time to talk about guns’ or whatever. Yes, it is. Shut up. I don’t want to hear it. It absolutely is.”

He shares that one should talk about guns and people must be made aware of these incidents.

“So don’t tell me that it’s not time to talk about it. You talk to those people down in Florida who lost their loved ones. They’ll tell you it’s time to talk about it. ‘My loved one would be here if this shooter did not have access to an assault-style rifle.’”

Loss in Don’s life

Don Lemon is the son of Katherine Clark and he had a stepfather. He was raised by a single mother. He has two siblings, Leisa Lemon, and Yma Lemon.

“The Lemon/Grimes family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers at this time. Our family has suffered the tragic loss of L’Tanya ‘Leisa’ Lemon Grimes. We are leaning on each other for strength at this time. We appreciate privacy as we grieve the loss of our loved one.”

Don’s Relationship

Don is gay and he is in a relationship. He is dating Tim Malone. He revealed his affair with him in 2017. Since then the couple has been spotted together in public places. They also share their pictures on social media handles.

He says,

“I think it would be great if everybody could be out. But it’s such a personal choice. I want a little bit more balance in work life. I’m maybe open to a relationship this year, I wasn’t before.”
