Washington Mystics drafted her third overall in 2002. It was the highest pick ever for a Canadian. Stacy Dales was named to the All-Star team as a replacement during the same year.

Stacy Dales married her longtime boyfriend Chris Schuman on the 13^th of April, 2002. But, the marriage could not last long and the couple divorced. The two parted ways during Dales’ year off from the pro ball.
