Steve Burton announces split from his pregnant wife citing irreconcilable differences
Steve Burton and his fitness instructor wife of 20 years Sheree Burton are no longer married.
The General Hospital alum who listed March 1 as the date of their separation filed for divorce because of the conflicts in their marriage.
Their split comes as a shock before they were together for two decades and share three children, Makena, 18, Jack, 16, and Brooklyn, 8.
The actor has pleaded to the court for joint legal and physical custody of their 3 children. As for the spousal support, he wants the court to terminate this for either party, once the divorce is finalized.
Steve filed for divorce just two months after accusing his wife of getting pregnant with another man’s child.
In his Instagram post, he wrote:
“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine.”
He added:
“We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”

Sheree has yet to acknowledge the accusations
Sheree has not addressed any accusation pointed toward her.
The actor and his wife married in 1999 after meeting on the set of General Hospital.
But with time, Sheree was unhappy in her marriage and was looking for something more in life. It caused a lot of trouble in their 20 years of togetherness.
A source close to the couple revealed:
“Their lives have been in the coasting stage for a while. After a long marriage, it’s not that unusual.”
The actor was fired from General Hospitals in November 2021 after he refused to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
At the time, in a video message, Burton said:
”I know there’s been a lot of rumors and speculation about me and ‘General Hospital,’ and I wanted you to hear it from me personally.”
“Unfortunately, ‘General Hospital’ has let me go because of the vaccine mandate.”
