Taylor Hale and Joseph Abdin are no longer a romantic couple! Big Brother star, 28, took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 19, to share the heartbreaking news that she and Joseph have decided to amicably part ways.

The breakup post reads,

“Joseph and I have made the decision to love and support each other as best friends going forward. We recognized this is what’s best for both of our futures at this time. This decision was made with lots of love, care and acknowledgement of how special our relationship is to the both of us.”

Hale expressed gratitude towards those who shower love and support on their entire journey “from friends, to lovers and now back to friends”. She continued,

“We’ve seen every message about how watching an interracial relationship form impacted you, in-spite of the ongoing harassment, and we’re touched by how our love has inspired you.”

According to US Weekly, the former beauty pageant had gone through harassment online for several months, even with the intervention of the network and law officials.

The Big Brother winner also assures that they “will continue to support each other enthusiastically, we encourage you to do the same, as you always have.”

She then ended the post with the statement,

“Ain’t no love lost over here! We will always be part of each other’s lives. Whether platonic or romantic we are, and always will be, Jaylor.”

Joseph, for his part, reshared Hale’s breakup post on his respective Instagram handle.

How long have Taylor Hale and Joseph Abdin been together?

Taylor and Joseph first met as houseguests on season 24 of the CBS reality show, Big Brother, in the summer of 2022.

The flirty romance between them began on the show, however, their showmance created a huge buzz during the season.

The pair formed a tight bond inside the house and supported each other throughout the show following bullying and racism directed toward Hale.

Although Abdin was eliminated from the show, Taylor ultimately won the show, becoming the first Black woman to win the reality competition series.
