Going Brit Again? Taylor Swift and Matt Healy are reportedly dating
According to reports, Taylor Swift has now found love again shortly after breaking up with Joe Alwyn. She is said to be in a romantic relationship with Matty Healy, the lead singer of ‘The 1975’, whom she has known since 2014.
The couple is planning to make their relationship public during Taylor’s concert in Nashville, Tennessee. Taylor and Joe ended their six-year relationship due to career differences.
Despite the short time between relationships, the singer is reportedly deeply in love with Matty.
This is not the first time Taylor has dated a British man, having had previous relationships with Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston.
An insider told the Sun:
“She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”
Although they briefly dated almost ten years ago, the source claims that it didn’t work out at the time.
The insider has confirmed that there was no overlap between Joe and Matty. Moreover, Taylor and Matty have been keeping in touch through texting and FaceTiming while on their respective tours.
The source added:
“As two international megastars, they understand the pressures of one another’s jobs better than anyone, and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers. They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.”
The source further said:
“Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”

In 2014, rumors of a potential romantic relationship between Matt Healy and Taylor Swift started after the British rockstar wore a T-shirt featuring her 1989 album during one of his band’s performances. Similarly, Taylor also wore a T-shirt from Matt’s band’s tour.
However, in 2015, Matt denied these rumors but confirmed that they frequently communicated via text messages. He told Australian radio:
“It’s fake. It’s all bloody fake. It’s a farce! Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally.”
He added:
“And she’s the biggest pop star in the world and I’m in Australia. There’s no like, relationship or anything happening. It’s just funny how people really, really buy into that.”
The ‘Blank Space’ singer was also seen with Denise Welch, Matt’s mother, who was proud of her son’s performance at London’s 02 Arena.
Denise shared a photo with Taylor on Instagram, expressing her joy at the sold-out show.
She captioned it:
“Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin!!”
Taylor looked stylish in a black blazer, her blonde hair in a bun, and red lipstick, with her arm around Denise’s shoulder.
During the same concert, she also surprised her fans by performing ‘Anti-Hero’ for the first time.
Matt had previously revealed that his band had collaborated with Taylor on her album ‘Midnights,’ but it did not make it to the final release.
