Zayn Malik is making his comeback!

The British popstar appeared at Paris Fashion Week on Friday which marks his first public appearance in five years.

The singer, 31, attended the Kenzo fall/winter 2024-2025 runway show and looked handsome as he sat front row alongside musician Pharrell Williams, former CEO of Christian Dior Sidney Toledano, and singer Rita Ora.

Malik looked dapper in a navy blue patterned tweed suit, which he left open to expose his white dress shirt underneath.

The former One Direction crooner tucked his shirt into his pants while showing off his heavily tattooed chest.

Malik completed his look by styling his hair in a voluminous, slicked-back ‘do and sporting a 5-o’clock shadow.

Fans were in love with Malik’s appearance. One wrote on X,

”He looks super healthy not skin over bone, so that’s good.”

While fans have been guessing why he decided to make a surprise appearance at the fashion event, he has always been very passionate about fashion.

In 2017, he designed a capsule collection with Versace. His then-girlfriend and supermodel Gigi Hadid even clicked him for the campaign.

Despite being known for his music, the dad of one also owned a clothing line once.

In June 2022, Zayn announced the launch of his now-defunct limited-edition merchandise collection, Paynt by Zayn. The collection featured designs from his paintings and artwork.

Why did Zayn choose to stay away from the limelight?

The last time the Pillowtalk hitmaker graced the red carpet was in May 2019 while attending the premiere of Aladdin in LA.

The singer looked edgy as he posed in a biker jacket-inspired sport coat and pants. He ditched an undershirt as he posed with Zhavia Ward, with whom he collaborated on the live-action version of the classic movie’s hit song, A Whole New World.

Before that, Malik remained absent from any public events since the 2018 Grammy Awards.

He chose to live a rather private life after his split from Gigi, with whom he shares daughter Khai, 3.

The couple ended their on-and-off five-year-long romance after Hadid’s mother, Yolanda accused Malik of hitting and abusing her during an argument.

Despite denying the allegations, Malik pleaded no contest to harassment charges. He was also ordered to complete both an anger management class and a domestic violence program.

In his interview on Call Her Daddy podcast in July 2023, Malik claimed that if the fight was as bad as many claim it to be, he wouldn’t have gotten 50 percent custody of his little girl.
