Alabama Barker is showing her love and support for her new stepmom Kourtney Kardashian despite her mother’s mean remark toward the reality star.

On the occasion of the POOSH founder’s big day, the youngest daughter of Travis Barker shared a touching message on her IG Story. The 17-year-old wrote,

“Happy birthday Kourt,”
“You’re the best stepmom I could ask for, you are so caring and generous for others, you are such a family person and such a hard working mom.”

She continued,

“Even if you don’t feel good or had a hard day, you always put your family first. You have such a beautiful aura, I wouldn’t want another step mom.”

The sweet message was accompanied by a series of photos of the Hulu star and Travis.

Although the young Barker had nothing but good words to say about her stepmom, her mom Shanna Moakler dissed the reality star on social media.

Last week a fan commented under one of Shanna’s posts, saying,

“I hope that you get a huge apology some day for what was said on that exploitative, money grabbing, circus,”

The person also quoted a part of Barker’swedding speech where he said, “Kourtney has filled a void for me.”

While a fan called Kourtney and Travis’s Hulu wedding special an “exploitative money grab,” the former Playmate interfered and said that Kourt was cashing in off her kids.

The former Miss USA contestant said, “She posts more of my kids than [sic] her own lol,”

Alabama shares an estranged relationship with her mom

Moakler and Barker were married to the legendary drummer from 2004 to 2008. They share two biological children, Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17.

Also, Travis shares a close bond with the former model’s first child, Atiana De La Hoya whose biological father is Oscar De La Hoya.

Kardashian, on her part, shares sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, and daughter Penelope, 10, with her ex Scott Disick.

When Kardashian married the Blink 182 drummer in Italy in May 2022, their two families blended and now have been getting along really well.

Alabama once revealed that she does not share a great relationship with her estranged mother, explaining,

“My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?,”

Despite the shady present comments, Moakler congratulated Kourt and Travis on their wedding. She also praised the reality star for being there for Travis after he was hospitalized for pancreatitis.
