It’s a Baby Boy! ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ alum Raven Gates welcomes 1st child with husband Adam Gottschalk

Raven Gates, 30, and Adam Gottschalk, 31 are officially parents.
The Bachelor in Paradise stars welcomed their first child, a son via emergency cesarean section on Tuesday. The couple shared their pregnancy news in July with pictures of ultrasound in their hand.
The couple took Instagram to announce the news of the birth of their child on January 18. Since Monday, Raven was hospitalized and Gottschalk even posted the story about the condition of Raven.
He wrote,
“Raven is at 9cm now. Going to start pushing in the next hour. So far so smooth, epidural is we are all hanging out watching tv and nurses coming in to check her body position. Raven is an absolute trooper?”
The two met in a reality show during season four of Bachelor in Paradise in 2017. They also want to get to know each other outside of the show, so they’ve opted to take their relationship gently rather than get engaged.

Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk’s relationship timeline
The beautiful couple dated for two years before their engagement. On May 31, 2019, Gottschalk popped the question with a surprise romantic proposal setup.
He explained to E! News that he had tricked Gates by convincing her that they were doing a photoshoot for an online boutique on a rooftop in Dallas.
On Friday, Gottschalk finally got down on one knee and asked for marriage. He had been planning to make a proposal for the last 4 months. Shortly after, they walked down the aisle on 16 April 2019.
What is the Newborn baby’s name?
They named Gates Zev Gottschalk to their baby boy. The couple chose the name randomly while on a date night. Gates tribute to Raven’s maiden name and Zev is a name of Hebrew origin which means Wolf.
After the birth of their child, the new dad wrote “Little man made it,” next to a photo of their son’s footprint. He continued,
“Had emergency C-Section after pushing for about an hour and a half. Mom and baby are doing very well.”
Their comment section has been overwhelmed with congratulatory comments. Gates was born at 3:33 a.m. in Dallas, Texas, weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz., and measuring 21 inches.
The new mom on Social media
The Arkansas native gushed “I can’t recall,” via social media on Friday after giving birth to baby Gates. She explained,
“So many of you told me, ‘Seeing your child for the first time, it’s a feeling you can’t explain.’ You all were so right!”
She also shared a series of snaps from the first days with her little one. In one of the shots, the newborn was snapped while asleep in his mother’s arm, wearing matching star-printed loungewear.
