Who is Charlene White?

Charlene White is a British newsreader, journalist, TV news presenter, host, and senior anchor for ITN News Network. She presents ITV news, weekend bulletins, and ITV News London.

Besides, ITN News, she has also worked for a few years for BBC Network. She is also known as the youngest journalist on ITV News. She currently lives in South London.

Charlene was born on 22 June 1980, in Greenwich, London to her father Denis, and mother Dorrett Lonie. Her family belongs to a Black Caribbean Heritage.

Her father worked in the Royal Air Force and later became a postman. She also had two younger siblings named Joshua, and Carina.

When she was 21, her mother died on account of bowel cancer in 2002. Since, her childhood, her parents want to see her become a doctor but she was interested in Journalism.

Since her mother died,  she has been working to raise awareness about bowel cancer and is also a member of Charity Bowel Cancer UK.

Charlene White attended her high school in Southeast London and later graduated from the London College of Printing.

Firstly, Charlene White started her journalism career at the age of 22. She presented news at 1Xtra, Radio 1, and BBC News. Later, she continued her work with the BBC in Norwich. Then, she joined ITN in 2008.

There Charlene White performed as a newscaster and hostess in a wide range of news programs. Some of the few programs he anchored were “ITV News at 5:30”, “ITV London News” & “ITV Lunchtime News” etc.

With her hard work and effort, Charlene White became the first woman of her race to present ITV News at Ten on April 9, 2014. As her career seemed to improve, she moved to different cities.

After working for ITV News for many years, in 2016, Charlene White became the Deputy presenter of ITV Lunchtime News, ITV Evening News, and ITV News London.

She wore a red ribbon for World Aids Day and a purple band for Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Again at London fashion Show in 2016, she wore both a poppy and a purple band.
