McGregor, 51, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 37 first met in late 2016 while working on the crew of the Fargo.

Eventually, McGregor also separated from his former wife, Eve in 2017. Although the former partners split in 2017 after 22 years of marriage, their divorce took place in August 2020 only.

Two of the daughters Clara Mathilde McGregor and Jamyan McGregor were adopted. They embraced Jamyan, a Mongolian orphan child while traveling in Long Way Round. The other two daughters are Esther Rose McGregor and Anouk McGregor.
