Jerome Jarre hails from Albertville in France. He is 33 years of age now. He had businesses operating in China and Canada. Later, he started his Vine account which became a hit.

Jerome, in May 2013, started GrapeStory. This was a talent agency to recruit Vine and Snapchat stars.

Subsequently, he started working for humanitarian purposes, collecting money for refugees from Somalia and the Rohingya clan in Bangladesh. His fan gathering across social media was to the tune of 15 million.

But Jerome took a dislike for social media and did not want fame. Hence, he abandoned all his accounts on the internet and started working anonymously for humanity.

Jerome has no father figure in his life. His mother, Agnes Jarre raised him single-handled. He enrolled at the Kedge Business School. At age 19, he moved to China and dropped out of school.

In China, Jerome has done several start-ups. He learned to speak English and Chinese. Later, he moved to Canada (Toronto). There, he joined hands with Christopher Carmichael and started a software company called Atendy.

After that, Jerome made a Vine account and began work on it. It gained popularity and he left his businesses abroad and moved back to Paris. But his professional life in the social media world is riddled with controversies.

Jerome and his controversies

Jerome posted a prank on Vine in which he was planting a kiss on the face of American singer, John Stamos. John had returned the kiss. This video went viral and people criticized Jerome for it. They called him gay.

They threatened to unfollow him. Jerome had to explain to stress that he is not gay. He also uploaded a video of him kissing his fellow Vine star, Nicholas Megalis. He wanted to show his support for the LGBT community with it!

On 5 January 2014, Jerome and internet star, Nash Grier arrived at a mall at Kópavogur in Iceland to have a meet-up with their fans.

They planned a free meet-up and did not notify the local police. People came in great numbers and the crowd of 5000 got out of control.

There was a near stampede and some people had minor injuries and some parked cars got scratches on them. Jerome sought an apology for this incident on his Twitter account.

Jerome did a prank on an American Airlines flight high in the air. He came out of the bathroom with an inflated duck and Speedo.

People enjoyed but one crew member felt offended and dialed the ground police. On landing at the Miami-Dade airport, the airport police arrested him.

But he was released later on. Jerome had sought the support of his fans to convince the police to release him.
