Jon’s blissful marital life
Who does not want an understanding and supportive partner in life?
However, everybody’s dream of getting the perfect partner can not be fulfilled. Some lucky people get it whereas some unlucky people face many problems in their marital relationship and the end, they have to get separated.
Jon Montgomery, who is now 41 years old is also one of the luckiest people in the world who has got a supporting wife.
He married his wife from the same profession, and this is the cause they know each other better. And similarly, they know about their profession much better and both are very supportive of one another.
Well, Jon was married to a lady of the same profession named Darla Deschamps, who is also a skeleton racer. They got married on August 6, 2011.
They tied the knot in the romantic wedding ceremony at a vineyard near Kelowna, B.C. Montgomery. It has been five years in their marital relationship.
About their first meeting
It was the year 2005 when Jon met the love of his life Deschamps. When they asked about their first, Jon said that:
“I was looking at the start list and I saw a person by the name of Deschamps on there. I looked around the room and she was the only girl I didn’t know. There was a fella from back home who I grew up with named Deschamps. I introduced myself to her and told her ‘my buddy’s name was Deschamps and I called him Dish, so I’m going to call you Dish too.”
Similarly, it is said that behind every successful person, there is someone to motivate him/her. Well, when he was asked the same, he opened up:
“The best thing about having your partner with you, involved in the same sport and with me on tour last year is that you’ve got somebody by your side who understands the unique dynamics we go through. It lends itself to a stronger relationship because you’re both involved in the same goals.”
Then, she continued:
“I think what having a great partner enables you to do is to have as much drive as you’re ever going to have because you have someone supporting you. Any victories or progression you make is that much sweeter, having somebody to share it with, as opposed to it just being a solitary mission. I am really happy we do the same sport and we are able to sit down and de-brief with another, not only as teammates but as a couple sharing the same passion.”
