Furthermore, he set the record for combined yards rushing and receiving with 2,314 in the 1985 NFL single season.

For awards and honors, he won the prestigious Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Award in 1982. Later in that year, he won NFL Rookie of the Year. He has won the NFL’s MVP and Offensive Player of the year in 1985.
