Masiela Lusha was born on October 23, in the year 1985, in Tirana, Albania. She is a Libra.

Her father is Max Lusha and her mother Daniela Lusha, of Albanian ancestry. Her mother worked as a magazine publisher.

The family had to leave their hometown and country in 1990 as refugees. They moved to Budapest first and later shifted to Vienna.

Lusha quickly adapted to America and learned English. When she turned 12, she had already embarked on a modeling career and started acting in local plays.

Masiela Lusha graduated from Burbank High School, in Burbank, California. She attended Glendale College, California, and later transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles, to study creative writing.

Lusha also pursued independent courses from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
