Neil Jones and his new girlfriend

Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones has now confirmed that he is in a new relationship. His fans are delighted with him.

Neil revealed that he is no more single now. He announced this to his fans during the Q and A session on his Instagram.

One of his fans asked him:

“Are you still single?”

And Neil immediately replied:

“Nope.”

But he did not divulge the name or identity of his new romantic partner. That Neil is looking for true love again was no secret. He had registered his name on dating apps such as Hinge. This he did in January 2020.

Neil and his sexuality

More than 18 months back, his fellow cast mate Seann Walsh had cruelly hurt Neil with the statement:

“I’m the guy who kissed a gay man’s wife.”

He was referring to him kissing Katya Jones. Neil did not say anything at that time. He thought it better to keep quiet on this remark. But when rumors and doubts about his sexuality started doing rounds, Neil was forced to address them. Therefore, a few months back he spoke about it and put matters straight.

He said:

“In ballroom there’s a lot of straight guys.

“But mum was always like, ‘It’s a shame you’re not gay because we could go shopping together’.

“And I was thinking, ‘whether I’m gay or not there’s no chance, you take forever’.”

Neil is a highly talented and skillful dancer. He started dancing at the age of three. He knows ballet, tap, modern, ballroom, and also Latin styles.

Neil has been a representative of the UK, Finland, and the Netherlands during competitions.

His honors include a total of 45 dance championship titles, 8 times British National, 8 times Dutch National, European, and 4 times World Latin Champion including World Latin Show Dance Champion.

Neil and Katya Jones’s relationship

Neil and Katya met in 2008 in Blackpool. Together, the two won several titles. They started dating and in August 2013, the two wed.

But in 2018 she was seen on a boozy night with her partner Seann and he kissed her. They both apologized for it. But 10 months after this incident, Katya and Neil split.

The kissing incident had created problems in their lives and marriage and in 2019, they separated. But they remain friends after that. They released a joint statement that stressed this point:

“We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends.

“This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together.

“We wish one another every happiness and we will remain the best of friends.

“We are really looking forward to getting back to the ballroom and can’t wait to keep on dancing. Lots of love from us both xx.”
