Cheryl Green leads the Welcoming Schools team, a human rights campaign that trains educators to build “safe and affirming spaces for all kids and families across the country.”

She added:

“Today I voted to pass the Respect for Marriage Act because I know firsthand that politicians have no business deciding who you can love or marry.”

Angie Craig is a politician, retired journalist, and former businesswoman from the United States. She has been the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’s (DFL) representative for Minnesota’s 2nd congressional district since 2019.

The district encompasses the majority of the Twin Cities’ southern suburbs as well as the surrounding rural areas.

Craig, who was born and reared in Arkansas, worked in journalism and corporate communications. She relocated to Minnesota in 2005 to work at St. Jude Medical.

Craig ran for Congress for the first time in 2016, losing to Jason Lewis, whom she defeated in a rematch in 2018.

She received a Bipartisan Index Score of 0.3 in the 116th United States Congress for 2019, ranking her 114th out of 435 members, according to the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.

Craig voted in line with Trump’s stated position 5.5% of the time throughout his presidency. She had voted in accordance with Joe Biden’s stated opinion 100% of the time as of June 2022.

Angie introduced the Affordable Insulin Now Act on February 25, 2022, with the goal of capping out-of-pocket insulin costs at $35 per month. The bill was approved by the House.

She is Minnesota’s first openly LGBT+ member of Congress and the country’s first lesbian mother in Congress.
