Tina Turner, the ultimate Goddess of Rock n Roll has died at age 83.
The unfortunate news was announced on the singer’s official Instagram account on Wednesday.
The page shared a black-and-white photo of the singer and captioned it,
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner.”
“With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.”
“Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family.”
The statement concluded,
“Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
Turner had a successful career of over 60 years, selling more than 100 million records worldwide. Some of her biggest hits include The Best and her solo comeback item What’s Love Got to Do With It.
Also an actress by profession, Tina had a total of 12 Grammy Awards, including eight competitive awards, three Grammy Hall of Fame awards, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Many fans including A-listers mourned the passing of the legendary singer. Singer Ciara wrote on her Instagram,
