Moreover, he played for a year with the Oakland Raiders from 2000 to 2001. His last team was Carolina Panthers (2002–2004).

Rodney Peete said retired from the football field on 28 Feb 2005. During his playing days, Rodney was titled Baseball All-Pac-10, Heisman Trophy runner-up, and Pop Warner Trophy in 1988.

In the same year, he was Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year and won the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award 2014.
