The Kardashian clan might skip the 2023 Met Gala

The Kardashian family surely knows how to serve an iconic Met Gala moment.

Over the years, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner have given major Met instants.

But this year could be Kardashians free after the entire family attended the fashion’s big night together for the first time in 2022.

Fashion sources claim that Anna Wintour is cracking down on this year’s guest list at the Met and that no Kardashians will make it there.

Vogue, however, did not comment on the guest list.

A source close to the family said that the rumor of the first family of reality TV not being invited to the big ball is not true.

However, it is not clear if any member, including Kim, will be in attendance.

It’s been nearly a decade since Kim made her debut at the New York fashion event. At the time, the KUWTK alum with her first child, North West. The reality star hit the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala in a floral Givenchy dress.

Ever since attending the Gala with her then-husband Kanye West, the Skims founder has become a Met Gala fixture.

Recalling her first Met, the beauty mogul tweeted in 2019,

“I didn’t know anyone [and] I’m sure no one wanted me there.”

Kardashian, who did her lipstick for the event also recalled going home and crying of insecurity.

Since then, the mother-of-four has been regularly wearing outfits by designers like Givenchy, Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Versace, and Balenciaga.

Last year, Kardashian even wore a vintage Marilyn Monroe iconic dress from 1962.

While Kim is a veteran, her two sisters Khloe and Kourtney only attended the Met for the first time last year. It then brought the whole family together on the red carpet including mother Kris and the Jenner sisters.

There were rumors in the past that Khloe had been snubbed from the fashion event in the past. However, the Good America founder alleged on the fam’s Hulu series that she turned down past Met invitations because “I’m not big on red carpets. I think I’ve made that very clear.”

The mother-of-tw0 also revealed that it was her sister Kim who talked her into attending.

This year the star-studded event will take place on May 1 and has the theme ‘‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
