Moving Forward, on the 3rd of November, he joined Sioux Falls Skyforce which happens to be a partner team of Heat. Later, on the 12th of January 2015, he signed the 10-days contract with Miami. Following that, on the 29th of January 2015, he again signed 10 days contract with the team.

Later, on the 8th of February 2015, the Heat signed him under the two years contract with him. After that, he played two seasons for the team.

On the 6th of July 2016, Tyler Johnson became the free agent. After that, Brooklyn Nets offered him a four-year contract worth $50 million. However, he signed with Heat contract with the same value.

On the 6th of February 2019, the Heat traded him and Wayne Ellington in the exchange for Ryan Anderson with Phoenix Sun. On the 9th of February 2020, the team waived him.

As of now, he is a free agent player.
