Ashton Kutcher told Harry Styles he was “really good” at karaoke

Actor Ashton Kutcher once told Harry Styles that was really good at singing, not realizing he was already a famous singer by the time.

The actor, 44, shared the embarrassing incident in a recent interview with Esquire, saying he and his wife, Mila Kunis, were with “an exceptionally well-known singer, who is possibly the best singer today” at a party hosted by their neighbor.

Styles, 29, stood up at the gathering and sang an ABBA song. Describing the incident, he said:

“And then this other kid gets up, and he does this ABBA song… I’m like, oh my god. It’s bananas. So this kid gets off stage, and Mila [Kunis] and I go up to him. We’re like, Man, I got to tell you something, you’re a ringer. You’re like a karaoke ringer. You’re really good.”

Harry, being the humble artist he is did not make a big deal out of it and simply replied:

“Thanks, man, thank you. I really appreciate that.”

Kutcher continued:

“So we go to our friend and we go, ‘God, that guy was really good, huh?’ And he’s like, ‘It’s Harry Styles.’ And I was like, ‘Who’s that?’ Mila’s like, ‘It’s the guy in the boy band. He’s a professional singer.’ Oh my god, now I feel like a jerk. “

He added:

“He’s a professional singer. And we’re trying to tell him he’s a good singer. And I like feel so dumb. So I just really want to say, I’m sorry Harry Styles, but you’re really good at karaoke, man. Seriously, like really good.”

Kutcher is set to star in ‘Your Place or Mine’ alongside Reese Witherspoon

Ashton Kutcher is set to star alongside Reese Witherspoon in an upcoming Netflix rom-com. In the teaser for the movie, Witherspoon and Kutcher play longtime friends who exchange residences and wonder about their relationship.

Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) wrote and directed the film, in which Witherspoon’s Debbie and Kutcher’s Peter met and slept together 20 years ago but have remained friends.

Now that Peter is going to Los Angeles for a week, he offers to monitor her kid Jack and allow her to stay at his apartment in New York while she takes a vacation. What else happens in the rom-com remains to be seen with fans waiting patiently for the movie to be released.

Kutcher seems excited about the movie and has revealed that he always wanted to work with Witherspoon. He told Esquire:

“I’ve always wanted to do a rom-com with Reese Witherspoon.”

‘Your Place or Mine’ also stars Steve Zahn, Shiri Appleby, Wesley Kimmel, Rachel Bloom, Griffin Matthews, and Vella Lovell.

The movie is set to release on Netflix on February 10.
