Birthday Bash! Clive Davis celebrates his 90th birthday at Casa Cipriani

Clive Davis, the music legend turns 90 on Monday (April 4)!
On Wednesday (April 7), the legendary music producer Davis celebrated his 90th birthday in Lower Manhattan.
Several VIPs were attendees to celebrate his milestone birthday party including Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Pat Houston, David Geffen, entertainment lawyer Allen Grubman, and more.
The guests paid tribute to his remarkable career at the celebration at Cipriani. In the first half of the evening, Gayle King hosted an event to interview Clive on stage.
During his chat with King, he opened up about losing his parents in his teens, the importance of family, his two marriages, and more.

Chit-chat with Gayle King
When King asked him what he would say to his mother if he could have one more conversation with her. He responded,
“I would tell her I done good. I miss her to this day.”
Davis also spoke to King about his marriage and loves. When King asked,
“We live in a society where love has no limits. Is that how you live your life? Love has no limits for you,” He responded,
“My story is a different one. When [my second] marriage failed, I opened myself up for the first time to the person and not the gender,”

He came out as bisexual in his 2013 autobiography The Soundtrack of My Life. In an intimate chat, he claimed that he had not lived “unnaturally”, and he says of his marriages, “I had no secret affairs.”
He said,
“I never had anonymous sex. I never thought that I would be with a male… People don’t believe that. I turned to the person and bisexuality when I was 55 with no hint of it in the past… that’s my true story,”
Similarly, Davis Foster hosted the second half of the evening which included performances by Earth, Wind & Fire, Barry Manilow, Patti Smith, Art Garfunkel, and Dionne Warwick.
Bruce Springsteen who was “quarantined in Jersey” performed via video. Others who didn’t get time to come to the party sent birthday wishes via videos such as Oprah, Joni Mitchell, Nancy Pelosi, Stanley Tucci, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
