Kate Beckinsale has sparked dating rumors with fellow rising actor Matt Atwater. On Tuesday, April 25, the 49-years old actress was spotted on a walk around town with Matt in New York City.

While strolling is not the thing but what caught people’s attention was the closeness between them.

Matt wrapped his arm around Kate’s waist as they strolled, seemingly hinting at a new romance between the pair. The duo couldn’t stop smiling during their outing as they could be seen chatting.

As for the outing, the Underworld actress looked effortlessly stylish donning a long white trench coat over a silk shirt which she pair with jeans and high-heeled black boots.

She is also accessorized with multiple pieces of jewelry and black sunglasses.

Matt, on the other hand, kept it casual in a green jacket over a white shirt which he paired with dark pants and a pair of Converse shoes.

A source denies the budding romance between them

Many people are interested in learning more about Kate and Matt’s budding romance since the romance rumors began to circulate online.

However, it’s just remained a rumor as a close source to the pair denies the romance rumors. A source told PEOPLE,

“They’re friendly. There’s nothing romantic going on.”

Kate’s new romance comes two and a half years after her split with the Canadian rapper, Goody Grace. The former couple had a brief romance as they dated for less than a year.
