Quotes
“I was just shy of a triple-double recently, so Dylan Witschen wrote to me that he wanted a quadruple-double next time. I try to tell Dylan that it is going to be tough with the blocks, because I’m kind of uh, vertically challenged. We have our fun.”
"For me, the chance to do something with St. Jude was a homerun. When this opportunity came to me, I was like oh, this is a homerun for me. All the proceeds go to St. Jude
every last dime, every last penny. Every kid is accounted for. Not one kid pays for anything, everything is taken care of for these kids that have childhood cancer. It's terrible to see, but if we can all give back now, we can really put a smile on these kid's faces."
“Last year I wore the number seven on my shoes, which is also my lucky number, in relation to Dylan, so just keeping him in our thoughts and prayers and I know he's holding it down up there for me. That's why I'm donating it to Dylan.”
“I mean that kind of helped me get this award today, because he kind of implemented into my mind in a way to never settle, so he had a big heart and I'm just trying to follow in his footsteps as far as that goes.”
“Becoming an ambassador of Rookie Relief for St. Jude was an easy decision. As rookies, we are blessed to make it to the NBA and play a game we love as a job. It’s our duty to give back. I hope NBA fans will join us in support of Rookie Relief for St. Jude and help kids fighting cancer.”
"It just reminds you to enjoy life, because at any time things can turn against you.Being able to put my hands on the whole thing and develop a relationship with Dylan who's been through it all, it's pretty special to me. It makes me kind of hold everything closer."
“It's not all about going out and it being about you, it's about affecting other people's lives as well.Being able to affect Dylan's life in a positive way, he's come all the way back around and helped me as well to become a better person. I really, really do love this family, love the support they give us, and the entire team and I can't really put it into words...I can't say enough about them.”
