Sarah Ferguson is not attending King Charles III’s coronation
Sarah Ferguson is about to miss one of the most historical Royal events of the 21st century.
The former wife of Prince Andrew did not receive an invite to King Charles III‘s coronation, sources confirmed.
A source noted that Fergie’s name is nowhere on the list for the May 6 ceremony. The coronation is all set to take place at Westminster Abbey in London. It is the exact place where the late Queen’s coronation took place nearly 73 years ago.
However, the snub was not a big shock for the Duchess, 63, who had already predicted that she would not be welcome on the King’s big day.
The mother of two married the Queen’s third child from 1986 to 1996. She recently opened up in an interview guessing that the king might not want to have her at the event because she is no longer married to his brother.
But the A Most Intriguing Lady author does not feel bad about it as she has plans to celebrate His Majesty’s big day on her own.
She said on ITV earlier this month,
“I personally will be having a little tea room and coronation chicken sandwich and putting out the bunting,”
Sarah and Andrew separated in 1992 after only six years of marriage. The two finalized their divorce four years later.
The exes share two daughters: Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, both of whom will be attending their uncle’s coronation.

Sarah did not receive an invite to William and Kate’s wedding
Despite his controversial ties with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew will be there to support his elder brother.
It is not sure whether the disgraced duke will play a formal role in the grand celebration. He was stripped of his royal and military titles in 2022 by his late mother. Because of that he no longer has the title His Royal Highness.
He also did not have a big role to play at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year despite being her favorite son.
The Duke of York, however, did participate in his mother’s funeral who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96.
His other siblings, Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, the new Duke of Edinburgh, 59, will also be attending the major event.
This is not the first time Fergie is not getting snubbed by the royal family because she was also not invited to Prince William and Princess Catherine‘s wedding in 2011.
Talking about it in a 2021 interview, the Duchess said,
“I didn’t think I was probably worthy to go to their wedding,”

Sarah, however, did get an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding in 2018.
