Britney Spears and her first marriage

American singer and songwriter, Britney Spears has been in and out of relationships. But none of them until now have been successful. However, she has not given up hope. She continues to date men in the hope that one day she would get her dream boy. In 2015, she told People magazine:

“I believe in the fairy tale. Love is a hard one. I don’t really understand love as far as relationships. With my kids it’s just unconditional, and that’s hard to find. It takes two people just loving each other a lot,”

Britney had three marriages until now but all of them collapsed. In January 2004, Britney wed Jason Alexander. He was her childhood friend and neighbor at her hometown of Kentwood in Louisiana. The two eloped and got married at Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel. The singer was in jeans and a baseball cap while her escort was a hotel employee. This wedding lasted 55 hours before Britney got it annulled. She states in her memoir:

“People have asked me if I loved him. To be clear: he and I were not in love,”
“I was just honestly very drunk — and probably, in a more general sense at that time in my life, very bored.”

Britney’s second and third marriages

Later, the same year, Britney met Kevin Federline at a club. He was her ex, Justin Timberlake’s backup dancer. Kevin revealed that it was love at first sight. At that time, he was with Shar Jackson who was expecting his second child. Kevin and Britney dated for three months before exchanging wedding vows in an intimate ceremony on 18 September 2004.

Their first child, son Sean Preston arrived on 14 September 2005 and their second baby, son Jayden James was born on 12 September 2006. But the marriage was not a happy one and in November 2006, Britney filed for divorce from him.

After a few more relationships in between, Britney married Sam Asghari in June 2022. The two met while she was shooting for her video Slumber Party in October 2016. Sam had been her pillar for many years before he proposed to her in September 2021, and she said yes. But this marriage lasted for around a year before they called it quits this August 2023.

Britney’s other relationships

Britney has been in nearly twenty-five other relationships. In 1996, she was dating Reg Jones, but they split in 1998. She started a relationship with Robbie Carrico in 1998 and that was for a year. In 1999, she started dating Jason Geddert and after him Justin Timberlake. But Justin and Britney split in 2002.

The famous singer also was spotted with Wade Robson in 2001 and 2002. Later, she began a relationship with William S Tribell in 2002 and with Fred Durst in 2002 and 2003.

Britney had hookups with Eminem in 2002, Tom Brady in 2002, and Colin Farrell in 2003. The relationship with Colin was a passionate one that lasted for two weeks. Later, she was with Scott Storch in 2003, and hooked up with Columbus Short the same year. She was dating Jared Leto in 2003 and 2004. After a brief pause, Britney was with JR Rotem in 2006-2007, with Isaac Cohen in 2007, with Criss Angel and Matt Encinias in 2007 and with Mario Lopez in 2008.

Britney was dating Howie Day in 2007, John Sundahl in 2007 and 2008, Adnan Ghalib in 2008 and 2009, David Lucado in 2013 and 2014, Charlie Ebersol in 2014 and 2015, and Harry Morton in 2015 and 2016.

Jason was dating her agent, Jason Trawick from 2009 and Jason had disclosed that Britney had made the first move towards him. In December 2011, he proposed to her, and she accepted it. But the two called off their engagement in January 2013 by mutual agreement.
