What did Luke Combs say after bagging the CMA 2022 Award?

It’s like a dream come true for Luke Combs to receive the CMA 2022 Entertainer of the Year Award. He is dedicating the award to his wife, Nicole Hocking, and newborn son Tex Lawrence (b. June 2022).

After winning the most prestigious award in country music, Combs revealed in the three hours long shows,

“Oh my goodness. I never, ever know what to say. I want to thank country music for making my dreams come true, my beautiful, beautiful wife Nicole, our beautiful 4½-month-old son Tex at home right now. This is a dream come true. “

The When It Rains It Pours singer was crowned entertainer of the year by hosts Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning at Wednesday’s 2022 CMA Awards held in Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

More Achievements of Combs at CMA Awards 2022

Combs was nominated for the Entertainer of the Year award this year with other country music artists. Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen were the other competitors for the trophy.

Coms was also nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for Growin’ Up. He won for the album but the male vocalist award went to Chris Stapleton at the 56th Annual CMA Awards. It’s his 6th Country Music Award.

Combs, 32, was grateful for such an honor. He said that he had a loss for words after bagging the award the last time but now he continued,

“There is nobody in this category that doesn’t deserve to be standing up here. I just cannot believe this. This is my fifth or sixth time at this award show, and country sounded more country than it has in a long time tonight.”

Who is Luke Combs?

Luke Combs is a two-time Grammy Award nominee singer who debuted with the album, This One’s For You (2017). His other famous albums are What You See Is What You Get (2019), and Growin’ Up (2022).

He won three Billboard Music Awards in the year 2019 out of his 4 nominations. Combs also is the winner of two iHeart Radio Music awards, and four Academy of Country Music Awards
