Ozzy Osbourne is a British singer, songwriter, plus actor. He is popular as the lead vocalist for the heavy metal band Black Sabbath.

Ozzy is also known as The Godfather of Metal.

Ozzy Osbourne was born John Michael Osbourne on Dec 3, 1948, in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.

His father John Thomas Osbourne worked in a car factory and his mother Lillian was a homemaker.

He spent his childhood in a tough situation along with his two brothers and three sisters. His father worked in a car factory and couldn’t provide his children with a decent childhood.

Ozzy Osbourne started his career with Geezer Butler to form his first band, Rare Breed in 1967. However, the band ended only after two performances.

Later on, they formed another band, Earth, along with guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill. After some time, they called themselves Black Sabbath in August 1969.

Eventually, the band released their first album, ‘Black Sabbath’ in 1970. Unfortunately, the album was not well received by the critics and gave negative reviews despite a huge commercial success.

The band released their next album ‘Paranoid’ in the same year.

Their third album, ‘Master of Reality’ came in 1971, doing very well like their prior albums. In 1972, they revealed their next album,  ‘Black Sabbath Vol. 4’ focusing on heavy sound.

Likewise, their fifth album ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, was pleasing for their audience. Later on, they released albums like ‘Sabotage’ (1975), ‘Technical Ecstasy’ (1976), and ‘Never Say Die’ (1978).

In addition, he started a solo career in 1981 by releasing the album, ‘Blizzard of Ozz’, which did exceptionally well commercially by going multi-platinum in the U.S.

Afterward, he released his second album, ‘Diary of a Madman’ in the same year. Later on, he released his album Bark at the Moon, which was certified Gold in the U.S.

Additionally, he released two albums, namely, ‘No More Tears’ (1991) and ‘Ozmossis’ (1995). After that, he appeared in a reality show, ‘The Osbournes’ on MTV in 2002.

Ozzy Osbourne performed in songs such as ‘Black Rain’ (2007) and ‘Scream’ (2010).
