Love story of Riko Shibata and Nicolas Cage

Riko Shibata and Nicolas Cage met each other in Shiga, Japan. They have known each other for more than a year and were last seen together in January 2020 while visiting the pyramid tomb. Similarly, the pyramid tomb was bought by Nicolas in New Orleans in the year 2010.

Again in March 2020, they were seen in New York. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they had to spend time apart from each other.

Nicolas revealed,

“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for six months. I got her a black diamond engagement ring. Her favorite color is black, so she wanted the black gold and the black diamond. I customized and personalized it, and I actually sent it to her FedEx.”

Marriage

Riko and Nicolas got engaged over FaceTime due to the pandemic. The couple decided to get married in 2021. The couple walked down the aisle on 16th February 2021 which was a date chosen to honor Nicolas’ father August Coppola who expired in 2009 due to a heart attack.

Moreover, their ceremony was in the outdoor Primrose Court area of the Wynn Las Vegas. Riko wore a handmade Japanese Bridal Kimono from Kyoto which required three layers.

Likewise, Cage donned a Tom Ford Tuxedo. She walked down the aisle to her favorite song Winter Song by Kiroro. During the wedding, they exchanged Catholic and Shinto vows with poetry from Walt Whitman and Haiku.

As per the photos of the nuptial, Cage gave his bride a passionate kiss as they were declared wedded couple with a backdrop of lush greenery and fairy lights.

A source revealed,

“After the wedding, the happy couple was joined for a small celebration attended by Nicolas’ ex-wife, Alice (who he remains very good friends with) and their son Kal,”
