Laurel Griggs’ Cause of death

What might be the reason behind this little girl’s death?

The cause of her death was not been made public initially.

Later, through her grandfather, David B. Rivlin’s note, it was revealed that she died from a sudden asthma attack. According to the note,

“It’s with heavy heart that I have to share some very sad news. My beautiful and talented granddaughter, Laurel Griggs, has passed away suddenly from a massive asthma attack. Mount Sinai was valiant in trying to save her but now she’s with the angels.”

She was cremated on Nov. 7 at New Montefiore Cemetery, Park West Riverside in New York City.

Condolence

Actress Eliza Holland Madore from Ivanka in “Once” wrote her hearts out in an Instagram post. She paid tribute to Laurel with a caption:

“I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of one of my Ivanka sisters. Laurel- you were always smiling and always made other people laugh. I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to know you. You will never be forgotten, and we will never stop loving you. Everybody in the Once Family is going to keep you alive through us. R.I.P. My heart goes to her family. 💔💔💔”

Her funeral was located at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York City. Young Broadway paid tribute to Laurel through twitter.

“We are saddened to share that Laurel Griggs passed away this week at the age of 13. Laurel was a brilliant young lady who appeared on Broadway in ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ and ‘Once’. We send our condolences to her loved ones at this difficult time.”

Laurel Griggs: Broadway career

Laurel Griggs made her appearances in several Broadway plays. She also made her contributions to television shows and movies. Made her Broadway debut in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof during the age of six-years-old. In Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, she worked alongside amazing stars like Scarlett Johansson, Ciaran Hinds, and Benjamin Walker.

She achieved the title of longest-running Ivanka in the Tony Award-winning Once the Musical. This role made her more popular, portrayed the role of Ivanka for 17 months. This time is longer than any other actress in the Broadway production’s history.

Starring in Café Society, she was featured with stars like Steve CarellKristen Stewart, Blake Lively, etc. Made her appearance on Saturday Night Live multiple times. Alongside, her theater works, Laurel had done a number of commercials and voice-overs.
