The drag queen Courtney Act gets her own ‘Dragazine’ show on Channel 4

The Australian drag queen Courtney Act has landed her show!

It is learned from reliable sources that Courtney Act is all set to start her late-night talk show of one-hour duration. It has been put as the world’s first ‘Dragazine show’.

The name of the show would be The Courtney Act Show and there would be celebrity guests on the show with musical numbers interspersed in between.

The guests and topics would be varied from dry but vital politics to the ever-entertaining pop culture. It will air on Channel 4.

Courtney is all excited about the new show and she said:

“This is my show and I say come on in, all you heroic misfits, those of you who are a bit chipped around the edges… I want to welcome you all. You bring the open minds and I’ll bring the open bar and we’ll meet in the middle for a gay old time!”

Courtney’s show would be replacing the former Alan Carr’s Chatty Man Show which had run for 16 series but was axed off due to its inability to secure high ratings for the channel.

Courtney and her past achievements

Courtney was the winner of the last Celebrity Big Brother in February 2018 and she defeated her close competitor Anne Widdecombe to win the title.

She was also featured in the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and was a runner-up with Bianca Del Rio who won the season.

Courtney and her life before fame

Courtney was born in Brisbane and her early life was spent in the same place before she moved to Sydney at age 18. Her birth name is Shane Gilberto Jenek.

Her rise to fame

Courtney was one of the 14 drag queens who were part of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 6 in 2014. She was one of the finalists on the show along with fellow contestants Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano.

She was the first drag performer who could sing live with the famous San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Courtney has sung duets with some popular singers and pop stars.

She has been the face of American Apparel and also other famous brands. She also runs a Wig Company called Wigs by Vanity and this venture was started as early as 2003 with her fellow drag queen, Vanity Faire.

She is also a foreign correspondent for the Australian news website called Junkee. She attended the rallies of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and covered the Presidential election at that time. Courtney also participated in MTV UK’s dating show called Single AF. Her greatest win was this year on Celebrity Big Brother.

Courtney and her personal life

Courtney is a pansexual and identifies herself as gender fluid, polyamorous, and pansexual. In March 2018, she was on the cover page of Attitude magazine and she said:

“The reason I identify as pansexual is not because I wander around the street looking at women thinking I wanna bang ’em, it’s because I’ve had sexual and emotional experiences with women, and I don’t count that out as being a possibility.”

She added:

“I had a threesome with two lesbians. I had an emotional connection with one of the girls. We just decided to give it a go. It doesn’t invalidate the gay identity. It’s important to acknowledge bisexual, pansexual.”

Courtney, 36 also had relationships with straight men who were attracted to her. She said:
