Karim was born in Rabat, Morocco on November 9, 1984, to his mother Khadija Guled, and his father Abdela Kharbouch. He belongs to a mixed ethnic background of Moroccan and some Somali.

It became one of the hottest-selling DVDs on the street. Eventually, his friends Droop Pop, Cheeze, and Brock joined him and together, they formed the Coke Boys.

In 2003, Karim was attacked by two men and shot in the head. Luckily, he survived the attack. Although the bullet wasn’t fatal it did take several weeks of treatment for him to fully recover. Then, he began working on his first mixtape and also continued to produce his ‘Cocaine City’ series.

He debuted French Revolution Vol 1 two years later. Next, he worked with Akon on a few tracks together. Eventually, Akon signed him but a few business issues with his label forced him to drop Karim.

Furthermore, Montana has collaborated with some of the famous names in his career like Rick Ross, Diddy, Prodigy, Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Snoop Dogg, MGK, Mally Mall, Lil Durk, and Drake among others.
