Just after the band’s fifth tour of the US in July, Wood, and Rod Stewart joined the former Small Faces full-time and the band was changed into Faces.

In 1970 the faces first released their four studio albums and also became one of the top-grossing live acts of the period. he also played as a guitarist, and also contributed harmonica, vocals, and also bass od band recordings. He co-wrote many songs of their songs including Stay with Me and Ooh La La.

He also helped his bandmate Stewart’s first few solo albums and also is co-writer of the Rod Stewart song Gasoline Alley and Every Picture Tells a Story. Since 200o he continues to combine solo work with him.
