A new article published in The New York Times has stated that the famous American singer, Taylor Swift is probably bisexual. It is a strong-worded article written by the famous journalist, Anna Marks who puts in her reasons for the high likelihood that Taylor is a bisexual person. Earlier, Taylor has denied all such allegations made about her.

Taylor Swift, the famous American crooner has been in multiple relationships until now. She is also a good friend of a number of other female celebrities. She has not discussed a lot about her sexual orientation in the public domain. But she had been in relationships with only men until now. However, on several occasions in the past, people have speculated that she is bisexual. But Taylor has always denied these allegations about her sexual orientation.

But now, an article published in The New York Times on 4 January 2024 asserts that it is highly likely that Taylor is a bisexual person. The author of the article is journalist Anna Marks. She has penned the 5000 worded op-ed in which she argues that Taylor is not just an ally and sympathizer of the LGBTQ+ community but that she is an active member of it.

This article caused a great buzz in the international arena. This is the first time that the sexuality of the singer has been discussed in print. Earlier, these were just conjectures.

Taylor has made some comments in the past that had raised eyebrows and led to people speculating that she is bisexual. For instance, her relationship with model Karlie Kloss has always been the topic of discussion. The January 2012 Vogue edition had a cover story about the singer. In that, the singer had said:

“I love Karlie Kloss. I want to make cookies with her.”

This was even before she had met Karlie. At that time, Karlie had started her own line of cookies. After hearing what Taylor said, she responded via her social media thus:

“Your kitchen or mine?”

A few months later, the two met at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show 2013. Taylor sang on that occasion and Karlie had walked the ramp. Karlie told The Hollywood Reporter later:

“We never met before but we’re BFFs now,”

And on 11 December 2013, Karlie shared a photo of herself and Taylor on her X handle and wrote below:

“We were both young when I first saw you.”

And at the next year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion week, they opened the event with their hands held. People speculated that they are in a lesbian relationship and coined the word Kaylor for them.

And just two days after the Twitter photo, a blurred out photo of the two emerged in which they could be seen kissing each other while attending a concert performed by group 1975.

The singer’s rep denied that she is dating Karlie and claimed that they were just close friends. But it was taken to mean a cover-up to hide the fact that she is a closeted homosexual or bisexual so that her career is not harmed.

In March 2015, both were on the cover page of Vogue magazine and discussed about their long road trip together through Big Sur. By now, Taylor had a long list of female friends that included Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Emma Stone, Camila Cabello, Blake Lively, Lena Dunham, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Moreover, she had relationships with men but these were short-lived. These men were Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston. Later, in 2017, she befriended actor Joe Alwyn from the UK and this romance continued until 2023 when they called it quits.

The singer’s relationship with Karlie decreased and she also did not attend her wedding to Joshua Kushner in 2018.

And in July 2023, author Emmeline Clein published an article in The New York Times that was titled: A Celebrity Lesbian Romance Changed My Life. (Even if It Never Happened). She described how it was to be part of that fantasy that Taylor and Karlie are a couple.
