In 2005 she appeared in the 11 episodes of an American teen noir mystery drama television series Veronica Mars. She portrayed the role of Kendall Casablancas for the series.

Starting from 2012 she appeared in the lead role of Annie Rebecca Sewell is an American teen drama television series The Lying Game.

Charisma Carpenter has been featured as Susan Golden in British Horror film Psychosis in the year 2010.

The same year she also appeared in the American ensemble action film The Expendables in the role of Lacy along with superstars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and Jet Li. In 2012, she was featured in the sequel of the 2010 movie The Expendables 2.

In 2015 Charisma made her acting presence in the American erotic romantic thriller drama film Bound as Michelle Mulan.
