As we all know in the previous series, adult celebrities are paired up with professional dancers. So this season comes with a twist!
Instead of pairing a grown-up celebrity with professional dancers, they are going to pair celebrity kids with professional dancers.
The show is set to premiere on Sunday, October 7! And fans could not be more excited!
Some fans did get nostalgic and worried that the original concept was going to be replaced. Swipe your worry aside, ABC is not going to get rid of the original dance routine.

So who are the hosts?
Frankie Muniz and Jordan Fisher will host the spinoff show. Frankie and Jordan are both actors.
Jordan is popular for the portrayal of characters in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Broadway’s Hamilton. He has even won a prestigious award, the Mirror Ball trophy for season 25.
Frankie had starred in Malcolm in the Middle. Also, he participated in the 25th season of the show.
He also expressed his gratitude and excitement towards the show:
“I was so excited because I had such an amazing time on Dancing with the Stars. So, to be able to stay in the family and get to experience it from a different perspective and get to host the new show, like, I was thrilled.”
Who are the show’s judges?
Adam Rippon is going to be one of the judges on the show. Adam was the winner of Dancing with the Stars Athletes. His performance was so outstanding that the impressed ABC offered him a position as a judge.
Mandy Moore will be there to judge the young talents on the show. Well, not THE Mandy Moore from the all-time favorite movie A Walk To Remember!
The esteemed Mandy Moore choreographed La La Land.
The third and final judge on the list is Val Chmerkovskiy. The talented to-be Judge has won two Mirror Ball trophies, one in season 20 and the other in season 23. In season 20 he partnered up with actress Rumer Willis and in season 23, his partner was Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez.
Val also has happy news that he has shared. He recently proposed to fellow dancer Jenna Johnson.
When asked by TMZ about the kid contestants that he would like to see in the series, his answer was LeBron James Jr., son of LeBron James, an NBA star.

The rumors
Rumors circulate that some celebrity kids might appear as contestants, as nothing has been made official.
Alana Thompson from Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Sophia Pippen (daughter of Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen), Sky Brown, and Miles Brown Black-ish star may also be included in Dancing with the Stars Junior.
